The Real Talk
This employment firm has already proven the model works, they've successfully launched a new office outside their traditional base before, and now they want to do it again. This isn't a speculative "go and see what happens" role, there's genuine appetite and backing behind it, and they'll start funnelling some existing employment work your way from day one. But make no mistake, this is a build, not an inherited desk. You'll be the one putting the office on the map.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
- Launching and building a new office for the firm from scratch, in a location outside the South
- Bringing your own client following and/or professional connections to seed the new office's work
- Leading business development to grow the client base well beyond the work initially funnelled to you
- Building relationships with other firms and referrers in the region, recruitment of your own team will be part of the role as the office grows
- Shaping the culture, service offering and reputation of the office as its founding Partner
What We Need From You
- Qualified solicitor and current or recent Partner, with a genuine client following and/or strong professional connections to leverage in employment law
- Significant business development experience and a track record of winning new work
- Established relationships within the local legal market, useful for both referrals and future hiring
- Comfortable working with real autonomy and accountability, this is your office to build
- Open to full-time or part-time
The Offer
- Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience and the following you bring
- Flexibility: Genuine commitment to flexibility
- The bit worth highlighting: A genuinely rare opportunity, backed by a firm with a proven track record of doing this successfully before, to build and lead your own office rather than join someone else's.
