Bovelle exists because legal recruitment deserved something better.
Why Bovelle exists
With over a decade of experience in the sector, we knew there was a different way to do this: introductions that last, not one-off placements where we never speak to that lawyer or that firm again. Not targets. Not volume. Not people treated like commodities.
We’ve seen too many good lawyers reduced to a CV in a pile, passed over because their profile “isn’t quite right.” We’ve seen fantastic firms overlooked simply because of how they’re perceived, rather than what they’re actually like to work with. Bovelle exists to change that; to build real relationships, to genuinely understand someone’s situation, and to support real growth, for people and for businesses across the legal sector.
We’re values-led because we believe it’s about the people. That’s why we still work every search personally, because getting it right matters more than getting it done fast.

How we got here
2008-2012
Joined a criminal law firm in Birmingham, before starting qualification as a Legal Executive and moving to a large international practice.
2014
Realised being in the law wasn’t the right fit. Headhunted into recruitment. Wanted connection over case files.
2017
First Partner-level placement, and bought on a client relationship that’s followed business to business.
2019
Promoted to Associate Director. Finalist, Birmingham Young Professional of the Year: a loss that changed everything.
2021
Headhunted to lead the growth of a regional private practice team.
2024
Appointed EDI Chair. And supported first client with opening an office in a new city.
2026
Eighteen years in law, a decade in recruitment, and a lifetime of believing people deserve better than a placement. Bovelle is what came next.
