Environmental Law: Solicitor, 2–10 PQE, UK-Wide.
A large national law firm is looking for an Environmental Solicitor with 2–10 years' PQE, ideally with a transactional focus, to support corporate and real estate deals and advise clients on environmental risk, and you can be based in any of its UK offices.
- Location
- Bristol

- Planning & Environmental
- Level
- Senior Associate
- Salary
- £68,000 – £100,000
The Real Talk
This is a chance to join a national firm which is heavily focused on growing its planning and environmental practice. This is a standalone practice, and not something squeezed into another team. You will work on environmental advice that supports corporate transactions, deals and the clients behind them. That means you'll see how your specialism fits into live commercial work, with real access to a wide client base, rather than advising in isolation. You can be based out of any UK office in all major cities, and work as part of a national offering.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
- Providing environmental advice and due diligence on corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals and investments
- Supporting colleagues in the planning, corporate and wider teams on the environmental aspects of their deals
- Advising clients on environmental liability, contamination and regulatory risk, and on how to allocate that risk in transaction documents
- Drafting and negotiating environmental warranties, indemnities and related provisions
- Building relationships with clients and colleagues across the firm, and developing your own profile in the specialism
What We Need From You
- Qualified solicitor with 2–10 years' PQE and environmental law experience - candidates outside of this will be considered.
- A transactional focus, ideally with experience of environmental due diligence and supporting corporate or real estate deals
- Good commercial awareness, with the ability to turn technical environmental points into clear advice for deal teams
- Comfortable working across teams and offices, and managing your own workload
The Offer
- Salary: £68,000 – £100,000
- Flexibility: Hybrid working
- The bit worth highlighting: An opportunity to work as part of the fastest growing and most well recognised Planning & Environmental teams in the UK.
