The Real Talk
This is one of the fastest-growing planning teams in the UK right now, and it has been growing year on year. It sits inside a national firm that has delivered strong, sustained growth over several years, while continuing to invest heavily in its people and in products. Senior lateral hires have been a big part of that story, which means the firm knows how to bring a Partner in and make it work. For an Environmental Partner, the pitch is simple: join a team that is expanding, with the client base, the national platform and the backing to build your environmental practice alongside it, rather than competing for attention in a team that is standing still.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
- Joining a growing planning and environment team as an Environmental Partner, with a clear remit to build and lead the environmental offering
- Advising clients on environmental regulation, liability and risk, including support on transactions, development and major projects
- Working closely with the planning team and the wider firm to offer clients joined-up advice on projects that cross planning, environmental and real estate issues
- Bringing your own client relationships and building new ones, supported by a national platform and a firm with a growing client base
- Helping to develop and mentor the next generation of environmental lawyers within the team
What We Need From You
- Qualified solicitor and current or recent Partner, with a strong environmental law practice
- A client following and market profile you can build on, or a clear route to developing one
- Business development experience, and an appetite to win work and grow a practice
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, particularly alongside planning and real estate colleagues
- Able to contribute to the team's wider growth and reputation
The Offer
- Salary: £150,000 – £300,000
- Flexibility: Hybrid
- The bit worth highlighting: The chance to join one of the UK's fastest-growing planning teams at a time of real momentum, with a firm that backs its senior hires and keeps investing.
