Corporate Law: Partner (Growth Hire), London.
A large national law firm is looking for a Corporate Partner to join its London office, in a role that is entirely about growth, with a team that has already seen real success through lateral hires and the appetite to keep investing.

The Real Talk
This is a growth hire, plain and simple. The firm's Corporate team has already experienced real success through bringing in lateral Partners, and it has the appetite and the backing to keep doing it. So you wouldn't be a first experiment or a lone bet. You'd be joining a team that knows how to integrate a senior hire, has the evidence that it works, and wants to build further. For a Corporate Partner looking to move from a firm where growth has stalled, or where investment has dried up, this is a move into a team that is actively putting its money behind the strategy.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
- Joining the London Corporate team as a Partner, with growth as the core purpose of the role
- Bringing your own client following and professional connections, and building on them
- Leading business development to grow the London Corporate practice and win new instructions
- Working alongside other lateral Partners and the wider national team to cross-refer and offer clients a broader service
- Playing a genuine part in shaping the next stage of the team's growth
What We Need From You
- Qualified solicitor and current or recent Corporate Partner, with a genuine client following and strong market connections in London
- A track record of winning and growing work, and of leading significant corporate transactions
- Proven business development ability, with the profile to attract further talent and clients
- Comfortable with real autonomy and ownership, as part of a team that backs its senior hires
- Able to work effectively within a larger national firm while driving growth in London
The Offer
- Salary: £200,000 – £300,000
- Flexibility: Hybrid working
- The bit worth highlighting: A team with a proven record of successful lateral hires and an ongoing appetite to invest, rather than a firm still deciding whether growth is worth backing
