Commercial

The Real Talk
This isn't a quiet backfill, the firm is actively investing in its Commercial offering in the Midlands, and this role is part of that push. You'd be joining at a genuinely good moment, with real appetite and resource behind the growth rather than being left to make the case for investment yourself after the fact. It's a Partner role built for someone who wants to build and grow something, with a firm that's already committed to getting behind it.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
- Bringing your existing client following into the Midlands Commercial practice and growing it further
- Leading on commercial matters for clients across the Nottingham and Birmingham offices
- Driving business development to grow the Commercial offering in the Midlands beyond your own following
- Working closely with the wider national team and other practice groups to cross-refer and build broader client relationships
- Playing a genuine role in shaping the growth and direction of the Commercial practice in the region
What We Need From You
- Qualified solicitor and current or recent Partner, with a genuine client following and strong connections in the Midlands market
- Significant business development experience and a track record of growing a practice
- Comfortable working with real autonomy and ownership over how the practice grows
- Able to work effectively within a larger national team while driving a genuinely regional growth agenda
The Offer
- Salary: £150,000 – £300,000
- Flexibility: including hybrid working and part time
- The bit worth highlighting: Genuine firm-backed investment in Commercial growth in the Midlands, rather than a Partner role where you're left to fight for resource
